DESCRIPTION

The port expansion for Durban are driven by the major container expansions required to ensure that the port component of the Durban to Gauteng Freight Corridor can meet future demand. Short term expansions will be made within the existing port followed by medium term development of a complementary new port on the old airport site, followed by a long term expansion in Bayhead.
