Kinshasa - Kigali/Bujumbura Fibre-optic Link (DRC section)

Kinshasa (DRC) will be linked to the eastern countries (Rwanda and Burundi) through the national backbone Kinshsa - Kasumbalesa (Lubumbashi) by estashing a joinction from Kamina to Burundi through Uvira in DRC and to Rwanda through Goma in DRC.

DESCRIPTION

Construction of DRC section of the fibre optic link between Kinshasa (DRC) and Kigali/Bujumbura (Rwanda/Burundi).

EDIT : This project involves the roll out of a fiber optic backbone linked to regional network to improve quality and
reduce costs of communications services. The project links the DRC to Rwanda and Burundi and to the
East African countries networks and will offer redundancy loops for these networks with DRC and the
countries in the region.
