The Lamu port project comes under the Lamu Port and Southern Sudan-Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor's infrastructure projects which include railway lines. The project is located in Manda Bay and to the North end of the Kenyan coast, bordering with Somalia. The project specifically focuses on the development of a master plan for Phase 1 of the regional port capacity and regional rail linkages.
